A Meeting of Culinary Minds: 4 Hands Dinner at Makris Athens

Makris Athens by Domes is poised for an extraordinary evening on Thursday, 31 July, as two celebrated Greek chefs reunite for a 4 Hands Dinner that promises a meeting of minds, memories, and modern culinary artistry. It’s a collaboration where distinct journeys and shared vision come together to create a singular dining experience.

Petros Dimas, Chef Patron of Makris and holder of a MICHELIN star, welcomes Kostas Papathanasiou, who returns to Athens after serving as Executive Chef at Frantzén in Stockholm, one of the few restaurants worldwide honoured with three MICHELIN stars.

The two chefs first crossed paths at Pollen Street Social, working side by side to craft dishes where technique met creativity. Now, back in the city that shaped their beginnings, they reunite to design a tasting menu that blends nostalgia with bold innovation—each plate a conversation between past and future.

A Dialogue of Flavours: Inside the 4 Hands Dinner at Makris Athens

The six-course experience promises moments of both nostalgia and daring invention. Expect a tart of ricotta and mango, flirting with Mediterranean sweetness, and a composition of amberjack, apricot, and Persian caviar—a dish where unexpected harmony unfolds. Each creation speaks to the next, forming a narrative that lingers long after the final bite.

To complete the experience, a carefully curated wine pairing from the cellar at Makris has been selected to complement the flavours and textures of every dish.
