Zamāna Opens June 1st: A New Chapter of Beachfront Culture in Chania by Domes

This summer marks a new beginning on the shores of Crete. Opening June 1st on the pristine Aptera Beach, Zamāna is the latest destination from Domes—a sensorial beachfront concept that blends music, gastronomy, and emotion into one fluid experience. Located beside the award-winning Domes Zeen Chania, it’s more than a beach bar. It’s a cultural retreat where time slows down and connection takes center stage.

Where Culinary Art Meets Sonic Ritual

Born from a creative collaboration between Domes and renowned hospitality curator Lefteris Markakis, Zamāna reimagines the beach experience through a lens of barefoot luxury. Each week, sunrise rituals and sunset soireesunfold against the backdrop of the Aegean, featuring global DJ talents such as ARODES, CAIIRO, and SAMM (BE). The musical journey flows through Afro House, Ethnic Deep, and soulful electronica—turning every evening into an unrepeatable moment.

Taste, Time, and Terroir

Led by Chef Alkis Theocharidis, the kitchen explores bold simplicity, drawing on fire-cooked techniques and fresh, seasonal ingredients. Raw seafood, foraged herbs, and traditional Cretan methods are reinterpreted with minimalist elegance.

Filippos Tasoulas, acclaimed mixologist and Bacardi Legacy finalist, curates a cocktail menu infused with local botanicals, wild citrus, and a thoughtful wine list featuring labels from Greece and beyond.

Designed for Presence

Zamāna’s aesthetic, envisioned by Vision Alphabet under the creative direction of Remo Masala, evokes a timeless calm. Every detail—from scent to sound to the textures underfoot—is crafted to deepen the guest’s connection to place and self.

A Place to Celebrate

Open for daily enjoyment and private events, Zamāna also welcomes weddings, intimate gatherings, and special celebrations, always delivered with the polished, personal touch that defines the Domes experience.

Words have many different meanings. So does the Domes experience.
