Glyfada Beach Will Stay With You Forever!
Corfu Glyfada in the western coast of the island right opposite Italy is a magnet for the Ionian travelers. It is rather a very hip place to be, where you can find from a couple of beach-bars to a 5-star resort as Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection, the only luxury resort that is located on Corfu’s most famous blue flag awarded beach.
As Thodoris Makridis and Eleanna Makridou, the masterminds behind Domes of Corfu, Autograph Collection’s architectural signature, of the Makridis Associates put it: “The unquestionably mythical landscape is characterized by a magical naturalness as well as strong contrasts that are however perfectly harmonized with each other, elements that were a source for a creative dialogue between the building and its surrounding environment. The shade and texture of the sand led us to natural dyes and materials. The exotic landscape is also seen through the thick vegetation, which grows inside the buildings in the central atriums.”

Corfu’s most famous beach
Glyfada beach stretches along the foot of a pine-covered mountainside. It is one of the longest beaches on the island of Corfu, with golden silky sand and amazing, crystal-clear blue waters that have to be seen to be believed. It is fully organised and offers various water sports facilities as well as a range of contemporary eateries serving excellent cuisine. The facilities on the beach include beach volley, beach football, beach bars, sunbeds and umbrellas, water sports, changing lockers and showers, party events and many more.
Glyfada beach which is one of the most popular beaches on Corfu, is located approximately 15km from Corfu Town.
Words have many different meanings. So does the Domes experience.
