Laganas: The Zakynthos Beach That Will Leave You Totally Happy

An aura of refined elegance permeates Zante, also known as Zakynthos, with its verdant hills, picturesque coastline and charming towns.

Right on the island’s longest beach – which is called Laganas – you will get the best of both worlds – beach relaxation and vibrant nightlife, shops, and restaurants at Laganas town further down the beach.

Walk onto the blissful sandy beach of Laganas Bay, the chosen nesting area of the Loggerhead Sea Turtles (Caretta Caretta). Watch them hatch and take a swim to see if you can spot this magnificent species!

Don’t forget that this huge beach of Laganas is the most popular and cosmopolitan resorts of Zakynthos located 9 km north of the main town. It is protected by the Greek and international legislation as a birthplace of the endangered species of sea turtle Caretta-Caretta and is part of the Greek National Marine Park. A little islet called Agios Sostis is  located opposite the beach of Laganas and can be reached by a wonderful wooden bridge.

An interesting combination of wild nature and well-deserved infrastructure has made this place on Zakynthos especially attractive for summertime lovers.

Words have many different meanings. So does the Domes experience.
