The Spirit of the Kazania in Crete: An Autumn Tradition
Each autumn in Crete, as the grape harvest season concludes, the island awakens to one of its most cherished traditions: the Kazania. In villages across the mountains and valleys, copper stills are lit and the first drops of raki begin to flow.
