Opening Season 2026: The First Domes Destinations Welcome the New Travel Year

As the Mediterranean season gradually begins to unfold, the first Domes destinations are preparing to welcome travellers back for 2026. Rather than a simultaneous opening across the portfolio, the season begins with a carefully timed return of selected properties, aligned with the rhythm of each destination and the early spring travel period.

A Gradual Return to the Mediterranean

The new season opens with Domes of Corfu and Domes of Elounda, both welcoming guests from 27 March 2026. Set in two of Greece’s most established destinations, these resorts mark the beginning of the Domes summer journey, offering early access to the Mediterranean before the peak season begins. Corfu and Crete, each with their own distinct character, provide a balance between familiarity and depth, making them ideal for travellers seeking a quieter start to the year.

Shortly after, the season continues with Domes Noruz Kassandra, opening on 9 April 2026. Located in Halkidiki, a destination known for its accessibility and coastal landscape, the resort introduces a different pace to the early season. Its opening bridges the transition from early spring to the more active travel period, offering a setting that combines proximity with a more relaxed, seaside atmosphere.

The early-season rollout continues into late April with the opening of Domes Noruz Chania on 23 April 2026. Returning to Crete, this moment completes the first phase of the Domes opening calendar, as the destination moves closer to full seasonal activity. Chania, with its layered history and strong local identity, offers a setting where the transition into summer feels gradual and grounded.

The Rhythm of the Early Season

Together, these openings define the beginning of the 2026 season not as a single moment, but as a progression. Each destination comes to life in its own time, allowing travellers to engage with the Mediterranean at different stages of the season. This return reflects a broader approach within Domes, where timing is closely connected to place. The opening of each property is not simply operational, but intentional, ensuring that guests arrive at a moment when the destination can be experienced at its most balanced.

As the season begins, these first openings set the tone for what follows — a gradual reintroduction to the Mediterranean, where each destination unfolds at its own pace, inviting travellers to rediscover it from the very start.

Words have many different meanings. So does the Domes experience.
