Introduction

Domes of Attica Société Anonyme (“Domes of Attica”, “we”, “us”), with a business registry number 147016941000 and VAT number 801016163 values your privacy and is committed to protecting and processing your personal data in accordance with the applicable data protection laws, including the guidelines and directions of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. This Privacy Notice explains how we handle the personal data we collect when you use the following hotel webpages we run within the domesresorts.com site. We developed and manage these pages ourselves, and we are the controller of the data collected through them:

  • comm/domesauluselounda
  • com/domesauluszante
  • com/domesofcorfu
  • com/domesnoruzkassandra
  • com/domeslakealgarve
  • com/domeszeenchania
  • com/domeswhitecoastmilos

Please note that this policy covers only the above websites. For any other hotel webpages on www.domesresorts.com, please consult https://domesresorts.com/privacy-policy/

What follows covers only the things that happen on those webpages — the online forms you fill in (enquiries, “get a quote”, contact and newsletter forms), the live-chat window, and the cookies and similar technologies the site uses. It does not cover what happens once you actually book and stay with us, which is a separate matter and is explained just below.

1. Your reservation and stay are handled separately

For six of the seven hotels above, the company that owns the hotel is the one responsible for your booking and stay — not us. Each of those companies is an independent controller in its own right, and each has its own privacy policy, which you’ll find on the relevant hotel’s webpage. If you send a reservation enquiry through the site, we pass the details on to that hotel company so it can deal with your enquiry and any booking that follows; from that point it’s their policy that applies, not this one.

Domes White Coast Milos is the exception. There, Domes of Attica is an independent controller for both the website and your reservation and stay. So if you’re booking Milos, your booking data stays with us, and how we handle it is set out in the Domes White Coast Milos privacy policy on that hotel’s webpage.

The website itself is hosted and run for us by Domes Operator GP (Reg. No. 133802441000, Tsifliki Region, Elounda, Agios Nikolaos, Lasithi, Crete), which acts as our processor under a written data-processing agreement.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use the pages, we may collect:

  • Whatever you type into our forms — an enquiry, a quote request, a message through the contact form, or a newsletter sign-up. That usually means your name, email, phone number, the dates and details of the stay you have in mind, and the content of your message.
  • What you tell us over live chat, including anything personal you choose to share in the conversation. The chat runs through a third-party tool that acts as our processor.
  • Basic technical details about your device and browser — device type, operating system, browser type and version.
  • Your IP address, which is logged automatically when you open the pages. We use it to run and secure the site, gauge how it’s used, sort out technical problems, and work out roughly where visitors are.
  • Cookie and analytics data, described in full in our Cookies Policy at domesresorts.com/cookies-policy.

We don’t ask for sensitive information — things like health or dietary details — through the website, and we’d ask you not to put it in a form or the chat. If your stay calls for it, the hotel will collect it properly under its own policy.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

We reply to your enquiries, quote requests and messages, and handle your live chats, because you’ve asked us to and because we have a legitimate interest in getting back to you — Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR. Passing a reservation enquiry to the relevant hotel so your booking can be handled rests on the same grounds.

Where we’re relying on legitimate interests, you’re entitled to object — see “Your rights” below. Where we’re relying on consent, withdrawing it doesn’t undo anything we did while it was in place.

4. Who else sees this data

We share website data with:

  • Domes Operator GP, our processor, which hosts and runs the platform on our instructions.
  • Other service providers we use for hosting, analytics, live chat, email and security — each working only to our documented instructions under a data-processing agreement.
  • The relevant hotel company, when you send a reservation enquiry (see below).
  • Authorities, courts or regulators, where the law requires it or where we need to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

5. International Transfers

Your personal data may be transferred outside your country of residence, potentially to jurisdictions that do not provide the same level of data protection. In any such case, We comply with applicable data protection requirements by implementing appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) under EU regulations, and by conducting relevant assessments to determine whether additional technical, contractual, or organizational measures are necessary. You may request a copy of these contractual safeguards by contacting Us at dpo@domesresorts.com.

6. What happens when you enquire about a booking

Send a reservation enquiry through these pages and we pass the relevant details to whichever company is responsible for bookings at the hotel you asked about, so your enquiry — and any booking that comes of it — can be dealt with.

For every hotel except Domes White Coast Milos, that company is a separate controller. Once it has your data for your booking, it’s working under its own privacy policy and this notice stops applying. For Domes White Coast Milos, we also stay in charge of the data, and the Domes White Coast Milos hotel privacy policy explains what we do with it.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it is collected, or for such other periods as mandated by law. Once these purposes are satisfied or the legally required period lapses, We securely delete or anonymize your personal data in accordance with our internal policies and applicable legal requirements.

8. Your Rights under Data Protection Law

Under the circumstances and conditions set forth by applicable data protection legislation, including Greek Law and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access: Request confirmation of whether We process your personal data and, if so, receive a copy of that data and other relevant information.
    • Rectification: Ask Us to correct or update any inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
    • Erasure: Request the deletion of your personal data if continued processing is not justified or required by law.
  • Restriction: Seek restricted processing of your personal data while We assess your request or if you contest the accuracy or lawfulness of our processing.
    • Portability: Obtain your personal data and transfer it to another controller where required by applicable law.
  • Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.

To exercise your rights, please contact Us at dpo@domesresorts.com. We may request reasonable proof of your identity before fulfilling certain requests to ensure the security and privacy of your data. We will endeavor to respond within the timelines required by law.

  1. Contacting Us and Lodging a Complaint

Domes of Attica has appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) responsible for overseeing our compliance with EU and local data protection laws. If you have any questions or concerns about the processing of your personal data or wish to exercise any of your rights, please contact our DPO dpo@domesresorts.com

If you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (1–3 Kifissias Avenue, Ampelokipi, Athens, Greece, www.dpa.gr).

We are dedicated to handling your personal data in a transparent and secure manner. We aim to maintain the highest standards of protection, ensuring that your privacy rights are honored and safeguarded in accordance with the directives and guidelines of the Hellenic Data Protection Authority. If you have any further questions, please reach out to our DPO at the contact details above. We appreciate your trust and look forward to welcoming you to one of our hotels.
